Wednesday’s third OCC-Buckeye Division match played out pretty much the same way as the first two for the Olentangy Liberty boys golf team.

The Patriots played well at Apple Valley, carding their lowest round so far in league play on the way to their third straight conference win.

They fired a combined 295 as all five guys shots in the 70s. Trey Rath and Cole Corder led the way with 72s, Jacob Hickman finished with a 74 and the duo of Grant Smeltzer and Josh Steyer closed with 77s.

Olentangy finished second, closing with a combined 313. Bryce Reed boosted the Braves with a 75 while Trey Wilson fired a 78, Cameron Casto and Luke Boerner had 80s and Bennett Zeitner finished with an 82.

Westerville Central smoothed out the top three with a 318 while Olentangy Orange closed fourth with a 329 — its highest round so far in league play.

Jonathan Green led the Pioneers with a 76. Other Orange contributors included Connor Cummins (83), Sam English (84), Nate English (86) and Nathan Brown (90).

Westerville North and Westerville South rounded out the scoring summary with respective rounds of 369 and 422.

OCC-Capital Division

Michael Ford nabbed medalist honors with a solid 73, leading Big Walnut to runner-up honors during the third OCC-Capital Division match of the season Wednesday at Turnberry.

The Golden Eagles carded a combined 323, second only to New Albany’s 313.

BW is second in the league with a 12-3 mark with one match to play. New Albany is a perfect 15-0 after Wednesday’s win.

OCC-Cardinal Division

Luke Gazarek played well, firing an 83, but the rest of the young Pacers struggled during Wednesday’s OCC match at Darby Creek.

Hayes finished with a combined 383.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hilliard Bradley 5, Hayes 0 (OTCA match).
