Sydney Richards had a hat trick and Kylee Beinecke had a pair of goals to lead the sixth-seeded Olentangy girls soccer team a 7-0 win over Logan in the second round of the Division I district tournament Thursday in Lewis Center.

Bailey Hall and Sydney Walker also scored for the Braves. McKinley Hoffman and Katie Scott, meanwhile, combined for two saves while splitting time in goal.

The win sets up a showdown with 18th-seeded Westerville North in Tuesday’s district semifinal at Olentangy.

Olentangy Liberty 13, Franklin Heights 0

The Patriots scored early and often, parlaying an 8-0 halftime lead into a lopsided win over the visiting Falcons in the second round of the Division I district tournament Thursday in Powell.

Abby Townsend set the tone with a blast that deflected into the goal just eight minutes in. Abby Jones finished off a cross from Natalie Amodeo four minutes later, Laura Bichsel made it 3-0 with an unassisted tally in the 17th minute — the first of two first-half goals for the junior — and Jasmine Hauser scored to make it a 4-0 game in the 20th minute.

Eighth-seeded Liberty never looked back.

Emma Lindsey, Emily Milisavljevich and Quinn Casey also had first-half goals while Rachel Davidson, Brooke Severance, Jones, Madison Rapier and Amodeo scored in the second.

Next up, Liberty will take on fifth-seeded Bradley in Tuesday’s district semifinal in Hilliard.

Olentangy Orange 6, Pickerington Central 0

Delaney Earl had a hat trick to lead the ninth-seeded Pioneers to a dominant win over the visiting Tigers in the second round of the Division I district tournament Thursday in Lewis Center.

Earl scored the first of her three goals less than three minutes into the game, following up a Camila Hall score to make it 2-0 with 37:10 left in the first half.

Cassidy Ryan and Earl scored to balloon Orange’s edge to 4-0 and Earl struck again, this time with just 56 seconds left in the first half, to make it a 5-0 game at the break.

Camryn Thompson smoothed out the scoring summary with the lone goal of the second half.

Marysville 3, Hayes 1

The Pacers’ Payje Wilson found the back of the net off a cross from Syd McMillin to open the scoring summary, but the 16th-seeded Monarchs used three unanswered goals to rally for a win in the second round of the Division I district tournament Thursday in Marysville.

“The girls had a good year,” Hayes coach Bradd Smiley said. “Best in a long time … if not ever. I’m very proud of them.”
