Police: Man shoots wife, brother-in-law before killing self

SPRINGBORO, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a man shot his estranged wife and her brother before fatally shooting himself.

Clearcreek Township police responded to a home just north of Springboro around 6 p.m. Saturday to find a man dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds in the driveway. The man’s wife and brother-in-law had been shot and were both taken to area hospitals.

A Clearcreek Township police sergeant said Sunday morning the female victim was last listed in critical condition and the male in stable condition.

Police Chief Jim Terrill said the home belonged to the parents of the two victims and described the shooting as a domestic dispute. He said other family members were home at the time.

No identities have been released.

A forensic team from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
