Delaware governor campaigns for Clinton in Ohio

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Gov. Jack Markell is taking a break from governing to hit the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton.

Markell was scheduled to travel to Ohio to campaign for Clinton on Thursday in that crucial swing state.

Markell was an early supporter of Clinton in her primary contest against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and introduced her at a campaign appearance in Wilmington in April.

Markell has said repeatedly that he believes Clinton, who faces billionaire businessman Donald Trump in the November election, is the most qualified person to ever seek the Oval Office.
