Police: Officers shoot, wound man who refused to drop gun


CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland police say officers have shot and wounded a suspect in the city.

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. Sunday when officers responded to a report of a man threatening someone with a gun.

Police say officers ordered the man to drop his weapon. When he refused, they shot him.

The suspect was taken to a hospital, where he’s listed in critical condition. The officers were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
