Delaware police report:

A man hit a child on North Liberty Street Sunday just after midnight. A 27-year-old woman told police a 23-year-old man came to her home without permission and hit her child with his hand before leaving. The child sustained minor injuries. Police located the man a short time later and took him into custody. He was taken to the Delaware County Jail and charged with assault.

A thrown rock started a fight between two men in the area of East Winter Street and Lake Street Sunday just after 1 a.m. An officer observed the men fighting and stopped to break it up. The officer learned one of the men was under the age of 21 but had been drinking alcohol. The officer also learned the man was on probation in Delaware County Common Pleas Court. The officer took the man into custody and charged him with violating probation. He was taken to the Delaware County Jail.

Two men waiting in line started a fight Sunday at about 3:20 a.m. in the area of South Sandusky Street and Spring Street. Police are unsure how the fight started but witnesses told police the men became frustrated while waiting in line for food at the Dan’s Deli cart. Both men were taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

A father and son got into a fight over bedtime Sunday just after 4 a.m. at their home on Pinecrest Drive. Police took a domestic dispute report but no charges were filed.

A bike was stolen from a home on Euclid Avenue overnight Saturday. The man told police someone cut the bike lock and stole his bike. He told police it was worth $120.

A man said he lost $2,000 on eBay Friday afternoon. He told police he made arrangements to purchase a Jeep Wrangler and sent the payment, only to learn the link to the item was fraudulent. An investigation is ongoing.
