On July 21, 1951, Lucille Cappa became Lucille Leonard when she married her husband of 65 years, Bill Leonard, at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Syracuse, New York.
To commemorate their 65th anniversary, the Delaware couple will be hosting a celebration on July 23. They will first attend Mass at St. Mary’s Church, accompanied by family and friends, then return to their home for the celebration.
Bill worked for the Consolidated Rail Corp. until 1990 when he retired, while Lucille stayed home to look after their four children.
The couple has two sons, Michael and Edward Leonard, and two daughters who live close in the Columbus area, Patricia Krause and Kimberly Petrosky. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
