A Stoutsville, Ohio man was sentenced to five years of community control after he pleaded guilty to five counts of child pornography.

Braden T. Shalosky, 37, appeared in Delaware County Common Pleas Court on Sept. 11 to be sentenced for five counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor, second-degree felonies.

According to Shalosky’s sentencing memorandum, filed by his defense attorney Dominic Mango, Shalosky was “embarrassed and ashamed” about what he had done. Mango said Shalosky has expressed “genuine remorse” about the charges in the case.

Mango added that Shalosky has embraced the case as a wake-up call and and has taken steps to address his psychological issues.

At the sentencing hearing, Delaware County Common Pleas Judge Everett Krueger reviewed the facts of the case and imposed a five-year community control sentence for Shalosky.

Krueger specified that Shalosky must attend and complete sex offender classes with the Delaware County Office of Adult Court Services and must complete 250 hours of community service.

Krueger said if Shalosky violates the condition of the community control sentence, he will be sentenced to six years in prison for the charges.

Krueger also credited him for the 15 days he spent in the Delaware County Jail during the case.

Additionally, Shalosky must register as a Tier II sex offender.

Shalosky pleaded guilty to the charges as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. Under terms of the agreement, 15 identical counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor were dismissed.

According to the indictment, between April 23, 2011 and Dec. 15, 2012, Shalosky did “create, record, photograph, film, develop, reproduce, or publish any material that shows a minor participating, or engaging in sexual activity, masturbation or bestiality.”

According to the indictment, the youngest victim is less than a year old.

Prosecutors also demanded that all electronic devices with the child pornography on them be destroyed as part of the plea agreement.
