Braves double up Hilliard on Senior Night

It was all about the seniors for the Olentangy field hockey team Wednesday evening in Lewis Center.

The Braves honored their seniors prior to the game against Hilliard and, fittingly, seniors accounted for all four goals in a 4-2 Senior Night win.

Emma Brown had a pair of goals to lead the way.

GIRLS TENNIS

Delaware Hayes dropped its last match prior to today’s sectional tournament, falling to visiting Marysville 4-1 in non-league action Wednesday afternoon.

The Pacers got their lone win at second doubles, where Sarah Midura and Serena Ishwar teamed up for a 6-2, 6-3 win.

BOYS SOCCER

FROM TUESDAY

The Olentangy Liberty boys soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals, but so did visiting Westerville Central as the teams settled for a 2-2 draw Tuesday in Powell.

Wesley Collins and Colin McCort scored the Patriots’ goals while Nathan Rothert and Blake Collins closed with assists.

John Harmening finished with two saves in the Liberty goal.

Northside Christian 3, Delaware Christian 2

Chad Blakemore and Keenan Siebert scored second-half goals to keep the Eagles within striking distance, but Northside Christian held on for a league win Tuesday night.

James Meyer found the back of the net three times for host Northside Christian.

Dirk Harris stopped five shots in the DCS goal.

VOLLEYBALL

Lyssi Snouffer, Erin Bauslaugh and Sarah Rosato notched double-doubles to lead Delaware Christian to a hard-fought non-league win over host Elgin Tuesday night.

DCS won the first two sets by respective scores of 25-18 and 25-23. Elgin came back with a 27-25 win in the third, but the Eagles sealed the deal with a 25-17 win in the fourth.

Snouffer finished with 29 digs, 22 kills, five blocks and three aces. Bauslaugh, meanwhile, had 35 assists, 12 digs and three aces while Rosato had 13 digs, 11 kills and two aces.

Also: Olentangy Liberty def. Westerville North 25-15, 25-8, 25-7; Buckeye Valley def. Marion Harding 25-14, 25-14, 25-19.
