Delaware names new income tax administrator

The City of Delaware announced this week that Lory Johnson has been promoted to the position of income tax administrator, replacing John Hunter who recently retired.

Hunter served as income tax administrator in Delaware since 1991. Prior to coming to Delaware, he was the deputy tax commissioner for the City of Whitehall.

Johnson started with the city in 2007 and most recently served as its income tax office supervisor. The income tax office is responsible for processing more than 15,000 individual income tax forms a year and the collection of more than $25 million that funds many services and positions.

Johnson is an Ohio State University graduate. She and her family live in Delaware.
