The Braves led most of the way, but didn’t pull away until late.

The Celtics landed the first blow, plating three runs in the top of the first, but the lead didn’t last long. Olentangy answered with a run in the bottom half before scoring four in the second to take the lead for good.

Candace Walters, Grace Yanez and Emilia Dipiero had run-scoring singles in the big sixth.

Overall, Yanez, Addi Hulshof, Petra Dissett and Dipiero had three hits apiece while Dipiero, Alex Newsome and Payton Kilrain had two RBI each.

Walters earned the complete-game win in the circle, allowing six runs, three earned, on seven hits while striking out four and walking three.

Hilliard Bradley 4, Olentangy Orange 1

The Pioneers outhit the host Jaguars, 6-3, but five fielding errors did them in Wednesday night in Hilliard.

Orange got one back in the sixth, but that’s as close as things got.
