Grant-funded paving work will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the city of Delaware on Noble Street, Ross Street, Eaton Street, and David Street and require about four weeks to complete. The project will include upgraded concrete curb ramps, as well.
Nearly 80% of the $640,000 project is being paid for through a Community Development Block Grant from the State of Ohio. The remainder is being funded through city funds.
A second phase of the project will occur in 2025 when South Washington Street, from Bernard Avenue to London Road will be paved.
Delaware was one of nearly two dozen Ohio communities receiving funding to complete neighborhood improvement projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
