Two join board at Boardman Arts Park

Brunney

Boardman Arts Park is pleased to welcome two new members to the team behind Boardman Arts Park.

Join us in welcoming Logan Brunney and Jane Hawes!

Brunney is a Columbus native and is currently serving as the economic development coordinator for the City of Delaware. She is a graduate of Capital University and has experience in local government and nonprofit work in communications and public relations. She has been involved with the arts from a young age, singing in several local churches and is an alumni of the Columbus Children’s Choir. When not working, she enjoys volunteering at Jericho’s house, hanging out with her border collie, Juno, and attending any of the arts festivals in downtown Delaware.

Hawes is a longtime resident of Delaware and currently serves as a communications director in local government. She previously worked for the Dispatch Media Group as a reporter for The Columbus Dispatch and as editor of Columbus Parent Magazine. She earned her B.A. in Communications from Villanova University and her M.B.A. from Georgetown University. Hawes enjoys yoga, baking, gardening and traveling with her husband, Richard, who is a professor emeritus of exercise physiology at Ohio Wesleyan University as well as the head men’s and women’s swim coach. Their children, now grown, attended St. Mary School. Their daughter, Emma, and her husband, Gabriele Frola, are lead principals with the English National Ballet. Their son, Colin, and his wife, Moira Meehan, live in Williamsburg, Va., where Colin is a doctoral student in oceanography at the College of William & Mary.

“The breadth of Logan and Jane’s backgrounds and abilities makes them both vital members of our board,” said Sharon Hayes, a longtime volunteer with Boardman Arts Park. “We love the new energy they bring with them and are excited for them to help our Park grow!”
