A 45-year-old Delaware woman is facing charges after police say she led a chase with officers through two central Ohio counties before ending in a multiple vehicle crash.

Police say Barbara Robinson will be charged with eluding, fleeing and operating a vehicle while impaired in connection with Saturday’s chase that reached top speeds around 115 mph at one point in Columbus.

The pursuit began near the U.S. Route 42 exit in Madison County after police say troopers observed Robinson driving at excessive speeds.

The chase ended 32 miles later when Robinson’s vehicle slammed into two sport utility vehicles, rolled and crashed into a ditch off Interstate 270. Robinson was the only motorist injured. She was hospitalized at Grant Medical Center.

Police say Robinson admitted that she had been using cocaine.
