Pastor Whitner to be installed Saturday at Delaware church

Elder Robert Whitner will be installed as the new pastor of the Victory Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 200 S. Liberty St., Delaware, on Saturday, March 5.

Whitner has served in the Seventh-Day Adventist church as a Bible worker, literature evangelist, prison ministry leader, Sabbath School teacher, deacon and elder over the past 25 years.

He is married to the former Bessie Loveless from the Calvary Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Gordonsville, Virginia.

Whitner is the oldest of six children and has two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way.

The community may attend his installation services to be held during the 11 a.m. worship service.

Jason Ridley, pastor of the Hilltop Community Center, Columbus, will perform the installation and Whitner will deliver his initial message.

Music will be provided by Karen and Tony Williams of Columbus and Linda Reynolds of Reynoldsburg. A fellowship luncheon will be served immediately after services.
