Delaware County sheriff’s deputies are not disclosing how much money was stolen from a bank in Lewis Center Wednesday but said they are still searching for the man.

Deputies said that a man entered the Key Bank on Owenfield Drive in Lewis Center Wednesday afternoon and handed the teller a note demanding cash. Deputies said the robbery happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. and the man fled on foot.

Tracy Whited, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, said Thursday that investigators had determined how much money was taken but would not be disclosing the sum.

Whited said the investigation is ongoing but deputies don’t believe the man interacted with anyone else in the bank.

The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the robber and made public photographs of the man.

Deputies say the robber is a white male, 6-foot-1 or -2, about 200 pounds, with reddish-brown hair. He was wearing a tan sunhat, sunglasses and a brown or green zip-up hoodie.
