Delaware police report:

Garbage was dumped illegally in the dumpster of a business on State Route 521 overnight Tuesday. The business owner reported the dumpster’s lock had been damaged and household items and garbage had been thrown in the dumpster. Police have no suspects.

A brown liquid was thrown against a North Sandusky Street business’ windows overnight Tuesday. The officer who investigated believed the liquid to be hot chocolate. A criminal mischief report was taken to document the call.

A man tried to punch his girlfriend at their residence on Toledo Street Wednesday night. Police spoke to the girlfriend who said her boyfriend tried to hit her and spit on her. Officers then contacted the boyfriend, who was intoxicated. He acknowledged an argument over money but denied any sort of physical altercation. The man was arrested and taken to the Delaware County Jail on domestic violence charges.
