Honors society inducts area students

Several Ashland (Ohio) University students from the Delaware area are recent inductees of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society.

They include:

• Sage Haines of Sunbury, who is majoring in digital media production. Haines is a 2015 graduate of Big Walnut High School.

• Emil Slavik of Powell, who is majoring in finance. Slavik is a 2015 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School.

• Morgan Chapman of Prospect, who is majoring in dietetics. Chapman is a 2015 graduate of North Union High School.

• Emma Dumford of Westerville, who is majoring in middle grades education. Dumford is a 2014 graduate of Westerville North High School.

• Austin Kondratick of Westerville, who is majoring in sports management. Kondratick is a 2015 graduate of Westerville Central High School.

• Allison Montgomery of Centerburg, who is majoring in commercial art. Montgomery is a 2015 graduate of Centerburg High School.

• Alexis Mount of Centerburg, who is majoring in nursing. Mount is a 2015 graduate of Centerburg High School.

• Sydney Ross of Richwood, who is majoring in integrated language arts. Ross is a 2015 graduate of North Union High School.

• Hailey Thomas of Marysville, who is majoring in dietetics. Thomas is a 2015 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School.

The Alpha Lambda Delta national honor society for first-year students credits individuals who have achieved a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average in their first or first two semesters. Its purpose is to encourage superior academic achievement among students in their first year.
