Delaware police report:

A man was hit while he was sleeping at his apartment on Bruce Road Tuesday just before 6:30 a.m. He alleged that his roommate had hit him while he was sleeping and sprayed him with pepper spray. Officers spoke to the female roommate who acknowledged the incident. However, the man declined to press charges and instead asked officers to remain at the apartment so he could gather his property and leave without incident. Officers remained to keep the peace and no charges were filed.

A window was broken at an East William Street business Tuesday. Police were contacted Tuesday night after a burglar alarm was tripped at Hamilton Parker Co. at 188 E. William. Police didn’t find anyone at the scene but did find a door with a broken window. Police have no suspects.
