The OSU Alumni Club of Delaware County is hosting its fifth annual dinner and scholarship fundraiser, “BuckeyeBlast!,” on April 12.

This year’s event will be at the Lakes Golf and Country Club, 6740 Worthington Road, Westerville.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will start at 6:30. Dinner includes a pasta bar, chicken parmesan, salad, coffee, iced tea and dessert with a cash bar available.

The cost is $45 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Tickets may be purchased online through the club’s website at www.delawarebuckeyes.org.

James Cotton, a former Ohio State University and NFL football player, will be the featured speaker.

Four other former OSU football players will be on hand for autographs and pictures, organizers say. Also featured will be local caricature artist doing personalized sketches, a silent auction with OSU items, a raffle and door prizes.

The club will be collecting on behalf of the LSS Delaware County Food Pantry. Items of greatest need include personal care (toothbrushes and paste, soap, shampoo, deodorant), baby food, cereal and canned vegetables. Collection boxes will be at the registration table.

Staff will be available to accept donations at your car if you cannot attend the dinner, organizers say. You may drive up and drop off between 5 and 6 p.m.

Proceeds from event support the club’s scholarship program for Delaware County students attending Ohio State University.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in their Buckeye attire, organizers say.
