Four people are in jail and facing charges including felonious assault, robbery and complicity to commit robbery after an Orange Township shooting Wednesday morning.

The four individuals were arraigned in Delaware Municipal Court on charges related to a robbery and shooting that took place Wednesday morning in the area of Blue Holly Drive and Holderman Street in Orange Township.

Court documents indicate that a 17-year-old girl received a message from her friends, saying they were being followed by a car, and she offered to let them hide at her nearby home. When her friends could not find her home, the girl went out to find them just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The girl told deputies that she found her friends in the area of Roe Park on Blue Holly Drive where the robbery and assault occurred.

The individuals charged are:

• Isaiah Dezjuan Steele, 19 of Columbus, who was charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault. His bail was set at $200,000. Court documents indicate that Steele shot and wounded 19-year-old Pierce Yurkoski-Gray with a handgun early Wednesday. Court documents state Steele also robbed 19-year-old Marua Burlew at gunpoint during the same incident.

• Terrance Dwayne Jewell II, 19, of Columbus, who was also charged with aggravated robbery. His bail was set at $150,000. Court documents state that Jewell assisted Steele with robbing Burlew and also punched her in the face, rendering her unconscious. Court records allege he stole a watch and her wallet, which contained three credit cards and $30.

• Kayle Marie Cantrell, 19, of Worthington, who was charged with complicity to robbery. Her bail was set at $50,000. Court documents allege that Cantrell assisted in the robbery by hitting and kicking another victim, 18-year-old Riley Smittle, and taking her iPhone 6.

• Brianna Alexis Saleh, 20, of Westerville, was also charged with complicity to robbery for her part in the incident. Her bail was set at $50,000. Records allege Saleh served as the getaway driver for the group and also punched and kicked Burlew.

The 17-year-old girl told police that she was struck multiple times on the face and body, and her head was slammed into the pavement.

Deputies from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said that Gray and the 17-year-old girl were transported to a Columbus hospital and were treated for their injuries. Officials said Burlew and Smittle also received medical attention but did not need hospital treatment.

All four charged individuals were in the Delaware County Jail Thursday afternoon and have all been scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 22 at 4 p.m.

Deputies said Steele and Jewell were questioned in Columbus — with help from Columbus police — and subsequently arrested Wednesday afternoon. Cantrell and Saleh were questioned and arrested a short time later.

The investigation was still ongoing Thursday night.

A deputy was dispatched to the scene at about 2:25 a.m. Wednesday when neighbors on Holderman Street called 911 to report gun shots.
