Delaware police report:

A woman who said she lives in the 100 block of South Sandusky Street called to report an unwanted person Wednesday morning. The caller said she is the mother of a woman living at the apartment and said a man there wouldn’t leave. When police arrived, they learned the man was not present and the caller was not the resident’s mother. The resident told police she believed it was made by a woman she knows. Police spoke to the woman and she acknowledged making the call and lying to police. A report was taken and charges are pending.

A traffic stop was conducted in the area of London Road and South Franklin Street Wednesday night. Police learned the driver did not have a license and discovered a passenger was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. Officers transported the woman to a sober friend and left. However, early Thursday, just before 2 a.m., an officer on patrol noticed the same woman in the area of 12 W. William St. The woman was still intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was taken to the Delaware City Jail and later released to a different sober party — with a summons for disorderly conduct.

A woman said her boyfriend assaulted her at their residence on Flax Street Wednesday morning. The woman had signs of injury to her neck but declined medical attention. The boyfriend was located a few blocks away and told officers he was assaulted by the woman. The boyfriend was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence. He was taken to the county jail.
