Area motorcycle enthusiasts looking for that early spring ride for a cause can fire up their bikes on Saturday, April 30, and join the “Ride for Rescues” in support of Ohio Rottweiler Rescue.

The ride fee is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger. Registration is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sunbury’s Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3614, 235 N. Columbus St.

The 1 to 6 p.m. ride, starting and ending at the Sunbury Eagles Club, visits Henson’s Pub in Johnstown, Boondocks in Fulton, Kintz’s Bar & Grill in Delaware, AD Farrow Harley Davidson at the Ohio 36/SR 37 and Interstate 71 interchange, and Sunbury’s Firehouse Tavern.

There are prizes, and beer, burgers and brats upon return to the Eagles Club.

Organizers said 100 percent of the ride’s proceeds go to the care of homeless, abused, neglected and unwanted dogs rescued by Ohio Rottweiler Rescue, including mixes and other breeds.
