Delaware police report:

A threat was found written on the wall of a restroom at Delaware Hayes High School Wednesday after school. School officials said they contacted police to investigate the threat and police concluded that the threat did not warrant canceling school Thursday. Police said there was not enough evidence to believe it was a credible threat. Parents were notified of the threat and, as a precaution, extra police officers were at the high school during classes Thursday. An investigation continues.

A mirror and television were broken at a residence on East Winter Street Thursday just before 3 a.m. A woman told police she and her boyfriend had been fighting when she returned home and she found the damaged items. The boyfriend was located by police driving on U.S. 23 South. Officers stopped him for questioning and learned there were two active warrants out for his arrest. He also did not have a valid driver’s license. He was arrested and charged with criminal damaging, driving with a suspended license and the other warrants. He was then taken to the Delaware County Jail.
