Bright Beginnings opening in Sunbury

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last Sunday during a grand-opening event at Bright Beginnings Learning Academy at 505 Commerce Drive in Sunbury.

Center administrator Brandi Williams said the new learning academy, serving children ages 6 weeks through 8 years old, officially opens for business on Monday, April 25.

Williams said the 6,800 square-foot facility has two infant rooms, two toddler rooms, a room for pre-school students, a junior kindergarten room, and a school-age room.

“We’re very excited to be opening a facility in the Big Walnut community,” Williams said. “We invite Sunbury-area parents to visit Bright Beginnings. We have an open-door policy, and family involvement is very important to us.”

Co-owner Christina Santos said she and her staff are not new to the business; a Bright Beginnings facility is located at State Route 161 and Busch Boulevard in Columbus.

“We are a Star Quality academy that offers highly qualified Ohio Department of Job and Family Services-licensed staff, potty training, competitive rates, breakfast and snacks, and video surveillance, and we accept publicly funded Title XX childcare assistance.”

Santos also said Bright Beginnings is currently hiring teachers, degreed and non-degreed, and a bus driver.

Bright Beginnings, a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
