Delaware police report:

A woman reported that her ex-husband had been harassing her over the phone Wednesday afternoon. Police contacted the man and told him not to contact the woman, either in person or electronically. No charges were filed.

A man told officers that his ex-wife may have filed a child abuse complaint against him fraudulently on Wednesday. Officers began an investigation and learned no complaint had been filed. Police spoke to his ex-wife who denied filing a complaint.

A 16-year-old left home without permission and would not tell his mother where he was Wednesday afternoon. The mother reported she had also been contacted by Delaware Hayes High School officials, who said he had not shown up for school that day. Officers learned the student is currently on probation in Delaware Juvenile Court and theorized that the teen was with another juvenile who is also on probation and had left home without permission. Both boys were later found at a friend’s home and arrested. They were taken to the Central Ohio Youth Center to await further Delaware County Juvenile Court proceedings.

Powell police report:

A resident on Westward Way reported that someone had stolen children’s toys out of her front yard Wednesday.
