Delaware police report:

Officers investigated a single-vehicle crash in the area of West William Street Sunday just after 3:30 a.m. Police said a vehicle had gone off the road and into the yard of a residence. However, no one was at the scene when police arrived. Officers then found an intoxicated man stumbling in the area of Penick Avenue and Marion Court. The man told police he had had too much to drink. He was arrested because he couldn’t care for himself. It was later discovered the man was the registered owner of the crashed vehicle and was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident.

A woman called police Sunday morning to report her former husband had been calling, mailing and speaking to her in person after he had been warned not to. Officers spoke to the man and ordered him to leave her alone. Hours later, police received a call from the woman again, stating that her ex-husband was pounding on her front door. Officers arrived as the man was leaving with the resident’s plants. He was arrested and taken to the Delaware County Jail on charges of menacing by stalking, aggravated trespassing and theft.

A juvenile used a fire extinguisher in a hallway at Delaware Christian School Sunday afternoon. Police said the chemical solution seeped into lockers and damaged students’ items. Charges of vandalism were filed with Delaware County Juvenile Court. School officials said the juvenile does not attend school there.
