Chuck Peirano of Delaware has been appointed to the Cancer Support Community Central Ohio’s board of directors.

Peirano is the enterprise fraud program director and senior vice president at Huntington National Bank. In addition to his general board responsibilities, Peirano will be serving on the development committee.

“I am no stranger to a cancer diagnosis,” Peirano said. “My wife was diagnosed with leukemia five years ago and my brother and sister-in-law have also suffered from the disease. It is definitely something that hits home with me. My decision to get involved with Cancer Support Community was simple. If I can do anything to help the thousands of central Ohioans who have also been affected by cancer in any way, I will.”

Peirano has held positions, such as assistant vice president and vice president at Bank One and senior vice president at JP Morgan Chase for nearly 24 years. In his current role at Huntington National Bank, Peirano provides strategic leadership and support on fraud prevention, investigations and education as well as coordinating the reporting of fraud risks and exposures to senior executive management.

During his free time, Peirano loves vacationing in North Carolina with wife Margie and two daughters. He also enjoys spending his time outdoors, biking and doing yard work.
