The annual St. Mary Parish Festival will take place tonight and Saturday.

The festival — doubling as a fundraiser — will have food, midway games, children’s rides, bake sale, live music, casino, raffles and a silent auction, with the proceeds benefiting the local community. In the past proceeds, have gone to emergency repairs to the church and providing playground equipment to schools.

A new carnival ride is set up this year — a 75-foot-high Ferris wheel.

The Michael Rose Show, the Divide, Shotgun McCoy, Project 75, the Gas Pump Jockeys, Bill Foley and Delaware’s own Sweet Adelines will entertain.

The festival will also be hosting a Texas Hold ’Em tournament on Saturday at 6 p.m. Players can buy in at $50 and the champion is expected to win more than $300, organizers say.

More information regarding ticket prices and performance schedules can be found at www.stmaryfestival.com.

The festival will be located on the grounds of St. Mary Parish Church in Delaware at 82 E. William St. It will start at 5 p.m. and end at midnight.
