Delaware police report:

Police investigated a domestic incident after a juvenile fled her home and sought help from a neighbor on Cumberland Road Wednesday morning. The girl alleged she left due to an ongoing domestic violence situation at her home. Police took a report and forwarded the investigation to Children’s Services. No charges had been filed Friday.

Police assisted Delaware County sheriff’s deputies who were searching for a stolen vehicle Wednesday night in the area of South Towne Lane. Officers could not find the car but, several hours later, an officer on patrol saw the vehicle in the area of Pinecrest Drive and U.S. 23. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver did not yield and instead traveled to a private drive off of U.S. 23 North. The man then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers recovered the car but did not find the driver. Police said Friday that they believe they know his identity. An investigation continues.

A business on Columbus Pike called police Thursday around 2:40 a.m. and reported suspicious activity in the parking lot. Police arrived and spoke to the parties. Officers found one of the persons was in possession of drug abuse items and was cited for possession of drug-abuse instruments.
