A Lancaster man facing more than 20 charges related to the sexual assault of a Delaware County girl will apparently change his plea this morning.

A change-of-plea hearing Brent Plummer, 26, has been scheduled in Delaware County Common Pleas Court this morning.

Plummer was scheduled to stand trial today and face nine counts of rape, first-degree felonies; nine counts of unlawful sexual conduct, third-degree felonies; and three counts of gross sexual imposition, fourth-degree felonies. However, court documents filed in Delaware County Common Pleas Court on Monday indicate he will change his plea Tuesday morning.

Plummer has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The judgment entry, filed by Delaware County Common Pleas Judge David Gormley at 11 a.m. Monday, states that Plummer must be present in court at 8:30 a.m. today for the purpose of a change-of-plea hearing.

Plummer was in the Delaware County Jail Monday night.

Prosecutors said that between Jan. 1 and Feb. 22, Plummer sexually assaulted a 14-year-old Delaware County girl on three separate occasions. Genoa Township police began an investigation on March 3 after a third party came to the township police department with the victim and asked to file a report about the assaults.

A warrant was issued for Plummer’s arrest after the complaint was filed.
