Chamber Music Connection to host gala

On July 9, Chamber Music Connection will host a summer gala in honor of the organizations 25th Summer Festival, featuring world-renowned guest artists alongside a selection of dedicated student performers from throughout central Ohio.

Founded in Delaware in 1992 as the Delaware Chamber Music Festival, the Chamber Music Connection is a nonprofit educational organization with its home base at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Worthington.

The gala will celebrate a quarter-century of musical accomplishments and community ties forged by CMC through education and outreach, organizers say. Gala ticket sales and donations help CMC continue to provide concerts, events and educational experiences, including master classes, competition support, supplemental coaching, and side-by-side performances for the students and the community.

Individual tickets will cost $75; tickets for a couple will be $125. Tickets for college alumni and recent graduates will be $45. Tickets for students will be $25.

Tickets can be purchased online at http://cmconnection.org/events/cmc25gala/.

The event will take place July 9 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the McConnell Arts Center in Worthington.

Gala performers will include current students, alumni and guest artists, including violinists Hayley Wolfe, Isaac Allen and Andy Liang, violists Angela Choong and Stephanie Price, cellist Nikita Annenkov, and CMC’s Woodstone and DAJJ string quartets.

In addition to refreshments and musical entertainment, there will also be a silent auction with all proceeds used to directly support CMC students through programming and opportunities to learn and perform in their community.
