Police investigating knife-point robbery

Delaware police are still investigating and searching for a couple who reportedly robbed and threatened a Delaware woman at knife-point Tuesday.

Police report that around 1:30 p.m. they received a called regarding a robbery in progress in the area of Missouri Avenue and Wabash Avenue. Police report a 43-year-old woman told them she was outside her apartment when she was approached by a couple who asked if they could use her cellphone.

When the woman turned to enter her home, the couple followed her inside, produced a knife and threatened the woman. Police report the woman was confined to a closet and the couple stole a television and laptop computer.

The woman told police the couple left in a small silver four-door sedan. After they left, the woman reportedly went to a neighbor’s home to call police.

Police report the victim described the couple as a black male with a red shirt and blue jeans and a white female with blond hair.

Police report the victim was unharmed during the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing, police say.
