Traffic on U.S. 42 was stalled for hours Tuesday after a car was hit by a semi-truck.

Tsopngwa Fozao, 20, of Columbus, was driving south on U.S. 42 and pulled off the road to turn her vehicle around just after 11 a.m., Delaware police said. However, when she re-entered the roadway, she was directly in the path of a southbound semi-truck driven by Jack Howard, 69, of Gahanna. Her vehicle was hit by the truck.

Fozao was flown by helicopter to OSU Wexner Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No citations have been issued yet and an investigation is continuing, according to police.

Northbound and southbound U.S. 42 traffic between London Road and Section Line Road was stalled for more than an hour while crews cleared the scene.
