Those who attend this year’s Delaware County Fair, which begins today, will have no shortage of entertainers from which to choose.

This year’s entertainment highlights at the Delaware County Fair include:

Hard Day’s Night — Saturday, Sept. 19, Hospitality Hill Tent on the east side of the racetrack. The Tim Workman Band will open the show at 6:30 p.m. and the Beatles tribute band Hard Day’s Night will perform two shows with an intermission in between. This concert is free with admission to the fair. Adult beverages will be available.

Simba Jordan — Fast-rising country music performer Simba Jordan, the “Urban Cowboy,” will appear in concert on Monday, Sept. 21. His new single and video “Country Thang” will be released nationally this year. Jordan will perform two shows on the 1550 WDLR Stage. The concert is free with admission to the fair.

Fire Tribe — The dance group Fire Tribe will be heating up the fair unlike any other entertainment event. Fire dancing is a unique, fluid and mesmerizing skill, performed with finesse and style. Fire Tribe will perform on the street in front of the coliseum on Friday, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. The group has taken fire dancing, an ancient art form and updated it with New Age music. The performance is free with admission to the fair.

Fireworks — The Delaware County Fair announced that the fair’s “fireworks spectacular” will return for this year’s fair. The big fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, and will provide a dramatic conclusion to the eight-day fair. The last Saturday of the fair will be a huge day with the annual Demolition Derby, McGuffey Lane in concert and the fireworks. All three events are free with admission to the fair.

McGuffey Lane — Saturday, Sept. 26, Hospitality Hill Tent. Central Ohio favorites McGuffey Lane and country songstress Jonalee White will perform. White will open the concert at 6:30 p.m. and McGuffey Lane will perform two shows with an intermission in between. Concert-goers will have the best seat in the house for the fireworks show that traditionally ends the fair. Adult beverages will be available. The concert is free with admission to the fair.

Forever Blowing Bubbles — Professor Phineas T. Bubblemaker and bubble art will amaze fair-goers of all ages, as he creates bubbles of all sizes and shapes. The professor will also present his Marvelous Medicine show each evening, which combines elements of magic, comedy, history and, of course, lots of bubbles. Professor Bubblemaker will appear at the fair on Saturday, Sept. 19, through Wednesday Sept. 23, strolling the grounds and entertaining each afternoon and presenting his Medicine Show at 7 p.m. daily and his “Special Bubble Show” at 8 p.m. daily.
