Detectives from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a series of slashed tires at an apartment complex in Lewis Center.
According to a report, deputies were summoned to the area of 1023 Bayridge Drive, Lewis Center, after a 24-year-old resident reported his tires on his 2005 Jeep Cherokee had been slashed.
While deputies were on scene, they learned that numerous other vehicles in the parking lot also had slashed tires.
Before deputies left the scene, they had determined that a total of 28 vehicles’ tires had been slashed.
An investigation is underway for vandalism, possessing criminal tools and criminal mischief. There had been no arrests as of Tuesday afternoon.
