A plea hearing has been scheduled for a Worthington teenager who was involved in a shooting in Orange Township in April.

Kayle Cantrell, 19, is scheduled to appear in Delaware Municipal Court on Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. where she will reportedly enter a guilty plea to misdemeanor assault and theft charges, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors said Cantrell, along with two teenagers from Columbus, Isaiah Steele, 19, and Terrance Jewell, also 19, met with a group of Lewis Center teenagers near Blue Holly Drive on April 13 and a fight erupted. During the fight, prosecutors allege Steele used a handgun to shoot 19-year-old Pierce Yurkowski-Gray several times. Yurkowski-Gray has since been released from the hospital. Three other teens were reportedly assaulted or robbed during the incident.

Cantrell was originally charged with felony robbery but prosecutors filed a motion on Monday dismissing her felony case and saying she would be pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault and theft charges.

Steele is set for trial on Aug. 16 and Jewell is scheduled to be tried on Aug. 23.
