The Delaware County Genealogical Society will present ‘Understanding Your DNA Results’ at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6 in the Community Room of the Delaware County District Library, 84 E. Winter Street in Delaware.
The speaker is Debra Dunbar Nowell, who has been actively involved with Genetic Genealogy since 2005. Her experience includes: DNA Administrator for the Dunbar Surname Project, the Kilcoyne Surname Project, the South African Cape Coloured Geographic Project, and The Franklin County Genealogical & Historical Society.
Nowell leads a monthly DNA Interest Group in Columbus Ohio which has hosted many internationally known Genetic Genealogy speakers. Her numerous DNA presentations include the Ohio History Center, Palatines to America Society, numerous central Ohio genealogical societies and libraries, the African-American Interest Group, the Licensed Practical Nursing Group, and the DAR Columbus Chapters.
The programs are free and the public is invited.
