‘Next day’ collection for Labor Day holiday

City offices will close Monday for Labor Day. Residential refuse, recycling and yard waste crews will be utilizing the “next day” collection schedule during the week. This means household collections will be made the day following the normal collection day, Tuesday through Saturday, Sept. 10.

DACC board meeting planned

The Delaware Area Career Center Board of Education meeting is Thursday; Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

The Sept. 14 work session has been canceled. Meetings are held in the board room at the South Campus at 4365 Columbus Pike, Delaware.

Meeting agendas are posted to the DACC website prior to each meeting.

City has openings on boards, commissions

The City of Delaware has openings on the following boards and commissions:

• Board of Zoning Appeals – First Ward.

• Civil Service Commission.

One lane on part of State Route 257

State Route 257 will be reduced to one lane of traffic between Home Road and State Route 42 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday for pavement repairs. Traffic will be maintained by ODOT flaggers.
