The Delaware City Schools Board of Education approved a number of staffing changes Tuesday night at their board meeting.

At the meeting, the board approved the following resignations:

Brenda Armstrong, an educational assistant at Schultz; Risa Owen, a technology specialist for the district; Sharon Jones, a bus driver; AnneMarie Mason, a gymnastics assistant at Hayes; as well as Bodhanaa Nithyananda and Brook Backus, School Aged Child Care (SACC) employees.

The board also approved the employment of Shari Beard, a substitute cook/cashier; Mary Willis, cook/cashier administrator at Willis; Karissa Kincaid, a educational assistant; as well as Kimberly Kirk and Tamara Bauman, transportation employees.

The board also approved the Quebec, Canada, trip for French students. The trip will take place May 30-June 3, 2017.

The board also approved a number of supplemental contracts including those for coaches for freshman girls soccer, and musical instructors for percussion and strings.
