Delaware police report:

A mother reported that her 13-year-old daughter had been unruly Tuesday morning. The mother told police that her daughter was disobeying her and was verbally abusive. She said her attempts to discipline the teen had failed to correct the daughter’s behavior. A report was filed and forwarded to the Delaware County Juvenile Court.

A 21-year-old man was assaulted while playing basketball at Carson Farms Park Tuesday night. Police went to the man’s Merriston Circle residence where he explained that, during a break in a basketball game, two teenage boys approached him. The man said he started talking to the boys because he thought they were talking about him. At that point, one of the teens punched the man in the jaw before fleeing on foot, he told officers. The man said he sustained minor injuries. The identities of the juveniles remain unknown.
