The League of Women Voters Candidate Forum is being co-sponsored this year by the Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce and Delaware Area Board of Realtors. Candidates for offices in Delaware County, the US House of Representatives, and Ohio House of Representatives as well as representatives of local ballot issues have been invited.

The event will occur on Thursday, Sept. 29, 7 p.m. at the Delaware Area Career Center, 4565 Columbus Pike (US 23), Delaware, Ohio 43015 and will be moderated by Jo Ingles of the Ohio Public Radio/TV News Bureau.

As with all LWV programs, the event is free and open to the public. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan voter education organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. It never supports or opposes any political party or candidate, a news release states.

“The League of Women Voters of Delaware County empowers voters through education, registration and get-out-the-vote activities in every election,” said Hallie Serazin, Voter Services Co-Chair. “We host candidate and issue forums while providing trusted and timely elections information on VOTE411.org. We believe our democracy is strongest when every voice is heard.”
