New Delaware library director to have open office hours

The Delaware County District Library’s new director, George Needham, will host open office hours at each district library location this November to become better acquainted with the library communities.

Branch visits will be open to public.

“This is a nice, casual opportunity for local patrons and business owners to stop by and get to know George without having to venture any further than their home branch library,” said communications manager Nicole Fowles. “Whether patrons have a pressing issue on their mind, or they just want to stop by and put a face to a name, we look forward to many warm conversations.”

Meet Needham on the following dates:

• Monday, Nov. 2, at the Powell branch library, 460 S. Liberty Road, Powell, 4 to 6 p.m.

• Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Delaware main library, 84 E. Winter St., Delaware, 4 to 6 p.m.

• Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Ostrander branch library, (75 N. Fourth St., Ostrander, 4 to 6 p.m.

• Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Orange branch library, 7171 Gooding Blvd., Delaware, 4 to 6 p.m.

Light refreshments will be provided at the visits.

Needham was hired to replace Mary Jane Santos, who retired this fall.
