Delaware police report:

A Delaware man was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments following an incident Monday at a North Franklin Street residence. Police responded to a report of a possible drug overdose at 11:17 a.m. Monday. After arriving at 68 N. Franklin St., police arrested Scott C. Bargdill, 22, 568 Thistle Drive. Police reported that additional charges could be filed after Bargdill undergoes substance testing.

A Delaware woman was arrested Monday for allegedly shoplifting $183 worth of merchandise from a local merchant. Ronitra L. Whatley, 18, 178 Hayes St., was arrested for theft by police on Monday after the incident at Kohl’s, 980 Sunbury Road. She was later released pending a court date.

Officers arrested a Crawford County woman Monday. Emily J. King, 37, 402 Heritage Court, Bucyrus, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle while under the influence. King was arraigned Tuesday in Delaware Municipal Court and is being held in the Delaware County Jail.

A Marion County man was arrested Oct. 16 for allegedly stealing merchandise from a Delaware business. Police took Colin M. Moore, 187 Superior St., Marion, into custody at Wal-Mart, 1760 Columbus Pike, where he allegedly stole Magic game cards valued at $300.90. The items were recovered. Moore was charged with theft and criminal trespass. He was arraigned Monday in Delaware Municipal Court and remains in the Delaware County Jail. A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 19.
