FFA fruit sale underway

Members of the Big Walnut/DACC FFA are again holding their annual chapter fruit sale.

The fruit sale began on Oct. 15 and ends on Nov. 13.

It’s a tradition of FFA chapters all around Ohio to have an annual fruit sale; and like most years, the BW/DACC FFA will also be selling pears, apples, oranges, grapefruit, beef sausage, cheese, nuts and barbecue sauce.

This fundraiser helps fund activities, such as trips to state and national FFA conventions, field trips and the annual FFA banquet. A portion of all sales also goes to the Ohio FFA Foundation to help sponsor awards and provide scholarships for FFA members.

All products will be ready for delivery the week of Dec. 1, when orders can be picked up starting after school that day; or arrangements can be made for an FFA member to deliver orders to homes.

Order forms are available from any Big Walnut/DACC FFA member or by contacting ag science teacher and FFA adviser Jeff Stimmell at Big Walnut High School, 740-965-3766, Ext. 1009, or emailing Stimmell at [email protected].
