Piatt Road to close next week

The Delaware County Engineer will be closing Piatt Road between Cheshire Road and Peachblow Road for a culvert pipe replacement project. The road will be closed beginning on Monday, Oct. 24, and is scheduled to reopen on Friday, Oct. 28.

Olentangy board meets about new treasurer

The Olentangy Local School District Board of Education will kick-off a set of meetings as part of the hiring process for a new treasurer. The board will meet with potential candidates in executive session at 5:30 p.m. today, according to a spokesman. The goal is to select a candidate by the Nov. 10 meeting. Brian Kern resigned from the position in August after taking the same position at Dublin City Schools.
