Historical society hosts annual meeting

The Delaware County Historical Society Annual Meeting will take place at the Barn at Stratford, 2690 Stratford Road, in Delaware 7 p.m. Nov. 9. Free and open to the public. Rebecca Drake, early Ohio settler (as portrayed by re-enactor Gale Martin) will speak about frontier life and the War of 1812.

Troy Road at Hills Miller Road to close

CSX Transportation will be closing Troy Road at the Hillsmiller Road railroad crossing to replace the rail.The road will close Monday and is scheduled to open Nov. 11.

Soup Supper at church Friday

West Berlin Presbyterian Church will hold its 27th annual Soup Supper, Friday from 4:30-7 p.m. Numerous varieties of soup will be available, along with food for a complete meal.

Donations will be accepted. The church is located at 2911 Berlin Station Road.
