Part of road to close Monday

Trucco Construction be closing South Section Line Road between Highlands Drive and Scenic Creek Drive to install a main sanitary pipe.

The road will be closed beginning on Monday, Oct. 31 and is scheduled to reopen on Friday, Nov. 11.

Castle Arts Affair planned

The Delaware County Cultural Arts Center (The Arts Castle) is hosting its annual Castle Arts Affair. Our four- day celebration titled SIMPLY joyous- A Celebration of Art is held Nov. 3-6 at The Arts Castle, 190 W. Winter St., Delaware.

A preview party is held Thursday night from 6 to 9 p.m., serving as an opening for the artists, food and wine provided by The Refectory Restaurant. Reservations are required and the cost is $55 per person.

This year The Arts Castle will transform into a winter wonderland showcasing original, affordable, high quality fine arts including: photography/drawing/ painting, watercolors, jewelry, glassware, ceramics, fiber arts, metal, and paper arts. The 6,000-square-foot “castle” will showcase exquisite galleries attracting visitors from all over Ohio, a news release states.

Bring your family to experience the beginning of the magical holiday season, and shop the unique items from over one hundred local artists. The event includes free children’s art activities, free gift wrapping and free parking.

Free shopping hours are Friday 6-9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday noon-4 p.m.

This event benefits the Arts Castle, a non-profit community arts center, serving Delaware county and surrounding counties.

Part of Woodtown Road to close

Marathon Pipe Line LLC will be closing Woodtown Road between State Route 605 and Green Cook Road for asphalt repair. The road will close on Monday, Oct. 31 and reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 1, which will be the rain date.
