DELAWARE — Ralph William Lusby, 77, of Delaware, passed away early Friday morning, Oct. 28, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born Nov. 22, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to the late James A. Lusby and Clarabell (Cummins) Lusby. Ralph proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1957-1960.

Ralph retired from the Flxible Co. and was a member of the Moose Lodge, AmVets Post #102, Redman Lodge and the Eagles No. 376, all of Delaware. He was also a member of the VFW no. 3297 of Delaware, where he was a past quarter master. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and he especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Joan (Goheen); daughters, Melanie (Mark) Borham of Delaware, Melissa (Marvin) Snyder of Cable and Paula Jill (James) Millisor of Delaware; 4 grandchildren, Nikki (Mike) Wine, Chad (Abby) Snyder and Jada and Zach Millisor; 2 great-grandchildren, Andrea and Owen Wine and 1 great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Jack (Marge) and James Lusby of Marengo; sister, Clara Oller of Delaware; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard and Mack Lusby; and 4 sisters, Joan Lockhart, Kathryn Arnold, Gretchen Giles and Norma Penn.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

Contributions in Ralph’s memory may be made to the Delaware County District Library for the purchase of large print books.
