Delaware police report:

A cart full of groceries were stolen from the Kroger parking lot on Columbus Pike Wednesday afternoon. A shopper said she had put the cart next to her car to begin loading the groceries. However, when she was putting an object in her car, she heard the cart moving and looked up to see a man leaving the area with her cart of groceries. She described the man as a white adult, who is slender and possibly in his 40s. He was wearing jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. The stolen groceries were valued at $68.03.

A vehicle was entered at an address on Lake Street Wednesday just before 5 a.m. Witnesses said a man got into the car via an unlocked door but didn’t take anything. Witness statements helped identify the suspect and officers contacted him Thursday morning. A summons to Delaware Municipal Court was issued for vehicle trespassing.

Officers arrested a man with an active arrest warrant in Franklin County Wednesday morning. During the arrest, police found an unmarked bottle of prescription pills. The man was taken to the Delaware County Jail and the medication was seized by police. An investigation into the medication’s legality and ownership is ongoing.
